What grade levels are offered at Emmanuel?
Kindergarten and grades 1-8
Has Emmanuel been awarded the Certificate of Approval from the Maryland State Department of Education?
Yes, this approval is awarded after examination of the curriculum, staff, the building, and the courses of study. To maintain this certification, Emmanuel is required to submit an annual report to the Maryland State Department of Education.
Do I have to be Lutheran to attend Emmanuel?
No, you do not have to be Lutheran to attend Emmanuel. Emmanuel welcomes all students. We admit students of any denomination, race, color, national, and ethnic origin.
What is the required age to enroll in your kindergarten program?
In accordance with the Maryland State Department of Education, a student must be five years of age by September 1st.
What time does school begin and end?
School opens at 8:00am. Attendance is taken at 8:15. Students are expected to be in their seats and ready to start the school day. School dismisses at 3:00pm.
Does Emmanuel have a before and after school program?
Our Before/After School Service (BASS) is available from 7:00-8:00am and 3:00-6:00pm.
Are standardized tests administered at Emmanuel?
The National Stanford Achievement Test is administered to students in grades 1-7.
Is transportation provided for students?
No, transportation is not provided by the school.
Is there a dress code?
Emmanuel has adopted a school uniform policy.
