TEC School 2021

Welcome

Greetings! Welcome to Emmanuel Lutheran School.

My name is Susan Miller and I have had the privilege of serving as principal of Emmanuel Lutheran School since 2012.

Emmanuel began educating children in 1956. The last sixty years have seen many changes in education, especially in the field of technology. One thing that has not changed is Emmanuel’s commitment to educate all students in a Christ-centered environment regardless of background, ability, or ethnicity. The school curriculum is designed to meet the needs of the whole child, to help him/her grow academically and spiritually. Emmanuel offers a rigorous curriculum approved by the Maryland Department of Education. Teachers, all with Bachelor’s degrees or higher, instruct the students in the areas of language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, art, music, physical education, and technology. Students experience field trips which enhance classroom instruction. Our students participate in weekly chapel services, have religion classes daily, and are taught to have a personal relationship with their Lord through prayer.

Emmanuel continues to grow and change. Each classroom is equipped with interactive whiteboards and up-to-date textbooks. While our environment may change with the times, our commitment to our students remains steadfast, to prepare them for high school and college in our ever changing world.

On behalf of the Emmanuel family, I thank you for taking the time to view our website. I invite you to come visit us, discover what we can offer your child, and to become part of our family. We look forward to meeting you.

Susan Miller, Minister of Education
